3D Product Modeling That Changes Color Based On Your Weight

There are two things you never ask a woman: her weight or age. If club lounges start using 3D Product Modeling, half of your guess work will be done. You see, this color changing furniture has built-in sensors that calculate how much a person weighs, then changes colors accordingly.

Say you happen to be on the heavy side, the chair will gradually change from white to an embarrassing bright red, “as if the blood pressure was rising high,” said Professor Ichi Kanya. The idea is not be humiliated a heavy-set person, but to create interaction between furniture and people.

Another way the suite works is by scanning the color of objects placed on the accompanying round table, which houses a computer and LCD screen. The table links wirelessly to four chairs, and once the color sensors pick up the object’s main hue, it signals the chairs to display that particular color in response. For example, if a heart-shaped red box is placed on the table, the chairs will go from white to red to complement the box’s color.
